This excellent stallion earned his AQHA Performance Register of Merit and qualified for the World Show with points in working cow horse and reining, and for the National High School Finals with Jeb Hunt. He has wins in reined cow horse, ranch horse competitions, and heeling. He is a natural rope horse with speed, cow and rate. Tough San is a beautiful, jet-black, all around athlete. He is a brother to Bar Two San, Tom Hunt's good SDRA calf roping horse, to OBRR stallion Driftin Pep San, 10 Open Box Rafter Ranch broodmares, andother great performers.

Sonny Pep San "Little Sonny" was a powerful performance stallion with a great foundation and classic speed horse pedigree. By Sonny Sugar, he is out of outstanding cutting mare, Anna San. Sonny Pep San did a great job for us as a sire. He put a good mind on his colts, along with plenty of muscle, bone, speed and cow. He sired a high percentage of colored colts, especially red dun, dun, grulla, and black. Tom Hunt's good college calf roping and team roping horse is a red dun gelding by Sonny Pep San; he is versatile, good-minded, smooth to ride, and fast. This is typical of the Little Sonnys. Sonny Pep San himself had a terrific mind; he was a talented calf roping horse, and had been used extensively on the ranch during calving and shipping cattle. Little Sonny sired Performance Register of Merit, with point earners in Heading, Heeling, Working Cowhorse, and Reining. Tough San, a 2002 black stallion by Sonny Pep San, qualified for the AQHA World Show in Working Cowhorse, and is a fine heeling horse. Little Sonny also sired standouts in the rodeo arena, winners in calf roping, barrel racing, team roping, pole bending, and many excellent ranch and trail horses. He died in July 2006 and is greatly missed.

One of our best broodmares, she came out of the respected Carver Ranch program in Nebraska. She is also the dam of OBRR broodmares Tis Miss Flit and Frenchmans Jamie.
